WYOMING BLN TO EXPAND INTO GREEN RIVER
The Wyoming Business Leadership Network (WBLN) announces plans to expand its operations in Sweetwater County, with the opening of a new office in Green River, Wyoming in February, 2012.
“The BLN is coming to Green River” says Roger Van Lieshout, General Manager of the Wyoming Business Leadership Network (BLN). “In 2011 we started a mentoring program for students and employers in conjunction with the Green River High School, and we are very excited about that new initiative. We have been very grateful for the support and encouragement of School District # 2, Green River’s amazing Mayor Hank Castillon and the Green River Chamber of Commerce in helping to promote employment of people with disabilities in Sweetwater County these past many years. At long last we are ready to staff a new office in Green River.”
The Wyoming BLN mission is to promote the employment of people with disabilities through peer to peer networking within the business community. In 2009 it was named as the “State Affiliate of the Year” by the United States Business Leadership Network (www.USBLN.com), and it is recognized nationally as one of the largest and most active BLN chapters in America.
Over 1600 employers participate in BLN activities each year, generating employment opportunities for over 100 Wyoming citizens with disabilities annually. The WBLN is sponsored by the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services – Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.
As part of its Green River expansion, the WBLN is currently recruiting for a new full time director and part time assistant director. Interested applicants can apply at the WBLN web site: www.WY-BLN.com
